Nutritional Assessment at School

We evaluate food intake and carry out anthropometric measurements, such as checking weight and height, at about four schools per year. Not only students are evaluated, but also teachers and school staff. Initially we worked only at public schools of early childhood education, but currently we work with all levels of education, public or private.

The assessments are made by undergrads of UFRJ-Macaé, previously trained and supervised by professors and nutritionists of Macaé. Each participant receives their individual results. Workshops are held with parents/guardians and teachers to share the results. Schools and the Municipal Department of Education receive result reports.
