NESANE - Center for the Study of School Health and Nutrition
More than our partner, Campus UFRJ Macaé Professor Aloísio Teixeira is where NESANE is located. We count on the support of Campus research and extension services to carry out all our activities.
A large part of NESANE actions is carried out at public schools and health units of Macaé. We also have actions in partnership with the municipal Health at School Program (PSE). Macaé has been our partner, supporting our actions through the Municipal Department of Education and the Municipal Department of Health.
NESANE is a member of the Alliance for Adequate and Healthy Eating, a Brazilian national activist group that aims to promote and support healthy eating in our country. We publicize and carry out actions of the Alliance. We have participated in training and meetings promoted by the Alliance at the national and regional level, since 2017.
NESANE projects are part of the Interdisciplinary Health Promotion Program (PIPS), an extension program of UFRJ-Macaé, which articulates Nursing, Pharmacy, Nutrition, and Medicine courses. NESANE projects have developed actions integrated with other PIPS projects since 2013, which adds interdisciplinarity and strengthens everyone involved.
